The current Governor of the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) is Shaktikanta Das, who has served in this role since December 12, 2018. His tenure has been extended multiple times, with the current term set to end on December 10, 2024. He could become the longest-serving RBI Governor since the 1960s​if extended.
