The first thing you need to do is complete your KYC

  • Proof of Identity
  • Proof of Address
  • PAN Card
  • AAdhar Card
  • Cheque photo
  • Nominee Name 
  • Mobile Number
  • Email ID

KYC is a one-time process and the documents required are as follows - 


Sometime back, SEBI instituted a centralized KYC Process for the capital market, including mutual funds.  



Proof of Identity: Aadhar Card, Passport, Voter ID, or Driver License. 

KYC is known for  Know Your Customer, KYC norms are mandated by regulatory bodies to prevent fraud and money laundering. KYC ensures that the identity of the Investor. 


Proof of Address: Utility bill, bank statement, or rental agreement. 

PAN Card - The Permanent Account Number (PAN) is essential for tax purposes. It helps track the investor's tax liabilities and ensures that the mutual fund company complies with tax regulations.


Bank Account Details: Bank account information or Cheque details are required to automatically transfer funds for investments and receive dividends or redemption proceeds.

Nominee: Many mutual funds require a nominee to comply with regulatory guidelines, making it a necessary step in the investment process. By designating a nominee, investors can ensure that their loved ones are financially protected in case of unforeseen events.

Mobile Number and Email ID: Collecting mobile numbers and email IDs is often a requirement to comply with regulatory guidelines, ensuring that mutual fund companies maintain accurate records of investors. Investors can receive digital statements, reports, and tax-related documents via email, making it easier to manage their finances. Investors may receive information about new fund launches, special offers, or investment opportunities tailored to their profile.
